Grants
Applicants for a long-term fellowship (around a nine months' stay) at the IAS-STS have the opportunity to apply for a grant to cover their living costs up to a maximum amount of 940 Euros per month. Applicants must provide evidence that their employer or other institution cannot supply funding. The director at IAS-STS decides on the awarding of grants after consultation with the Scientific Advisory Board.

Only grant applications submitted with a completed “Application for Appointment as Research Fellow or Visiting Scholar” (the blue application form), will be considered.
The Manfred Heindler grant, a special grant within the thematical focus "Energy and Climate" (see: Fellowship Programme), will be awarded for research projects focusing on the continued use of renewable energies, or the increased efficiency of energy consumption.
