The project focuses on the participatory redesign of two streets based on the Healthy Streets approach. The aim is to implement concrete measures that promote active travel – on foot, by bike or other forms of soft mobility – while contributing to people's physical and mental health.

Using interactive methods such as community mapping, stakeholder workshops, and site visits, the needs and potential of the street spaces are analyzed together with residents and local stakeholders. On this basis, tailor-made measures are developed that enable healthy and socially inclusive use of public space.

The project is being implemented in close cooperation with the Eggenlend district center and is supported by an interdisciplinary advisory board of experts. In order to achieve a broad impact, Healthy Streets multipliers are being trained to actively promote the concept in the neighborhood as a link between the project team and the population.

The following events will take place at the Stadtteilzentrum Eggenlend (Community Center) in 2026:

• February 13, 2026, 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.: Workshop on the topic of neighborhood
• March 6, 2026, 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.: Workshop on the topic of neighborhood
• March 27, 2026, 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.: Intervention and inspection on the topic of safety
• April 17, 2026, 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.: Inspection and workshop on the topic of accessibility
• April 24, 2026, 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.: Intervention on the topic of quality of stay/livability
