The description of the user acceptance in these buildings formed a further central aspect. Also the ecological quality of the building was judged by the choice of materials and ecological measures during the building phase as well as in the following use of the building.

The sociological part was done in a "post occupancy evaluation", i.e. after the occupants had moved in. It covered a standardized written questioning of all households, the creating of detailed minutes for the use of technologies by the dwellers, qualitative interviews with selected occupants and interviews with planners of the innovative buildings.
