Diploma thesis abstract
Not later than 2003 it should be possible for the consumer to identify GMOs in food with a quick look at the label. To give the consumer a real option between genetically engineered and GMOs free food and it needs a lot of measures. Among other things the declaration bound by law and their control.
In the diploma work she is going to have a good look at the possiblities and limitations of detection methods and the effect of these limits on the technology. To be right about the possiblities and problems of detection there will be interviews of users.
Subsequently the attempts of developing new detection methods are going to be taken up concerning the point whether these new possibilities could compensate the current problems?
Finally the existing control details are going to be inspected and discribed and she is going to take a look at changes in the near future (saturation food inspection) and their consequences for food industrie and consumers.
