Günther Illek studied Mining Survey and Mining Damage at the Montan University Leoben. Since 2005 he has been working on projects to promote sustainable mobility. From 2007 to 2021 he was employed by the Research Society for Mobility in Graz and worked as a researcher and project manager in several national and international projects on the subjects "cycling” and “logistics”. Since March 2021 he has been working at the IFZ as a researcher in the research topics “Mobility" and "Public Procurement”.
